About Western Star Resources

Western Star Resources is a junior mining company focused on rebuilding North America’s tungsten supply. The company is advancing the Rowland and White Star tungsten properties in Elko County, Nevada, the 100%-owned Eagle Point tungsten project in Hidalgo County, New Mexico, and the Western Star Project in British Columbia’s Revelstoke Mining District.

Why tungsten

Tungsten: The Backbone of Defense, Industry, and Innovation

  • Tungsten is one of the hardest, densest, and most heat-resistant metals known, indispensable to defense, aerospace, energy, and high-tech manufacturing
  • Its unique properties make it critical for armor-piercing munitions, turbine engines, electrical contacts, and semiconductor fabrication
  • Over 80% of global supply is controlled by China with no viable substitutes – tungsten is a strategically vital resource whose secure supply is essential to national security and advanced industry

Defense

A Strategic Metal for National Security

Tungsten is essential for armor-piercing munitions, tank armor, and rocket components. The U.S. Department of Defense is actively supporting domestic tungsten development. With China controlling 80–85% of global production and no viable substitutes, rebuilding a North American supply is a matter of national security.
